CHRISTMAS

Christmas is a time of year.

Where everyone celebrates with cheer.

Christmas Eve is when we are great

While we wait for old saint

Christmas is a time of giving

Instead of sitting on a couch for a living

Christmas is here and I am glad

Nobody is feeling sad

Nobody has remorse

Christmas meal is the first course

On the day before Christmas

As quiet as a mouse

Me and mom bake

A gingerbread house

I have a little key

That my mom gave me

And my little key

Goes on my Christmas tree

Every year on Christmas

I open 1 present

My dad makes meatloaf

This is all in the present

Sound floats through air with waves

With a lot of things it sways

It floats along across so clear

And then it goes in your ear

Your eardrum starts too bound

And all of this is called a sound

Here I am strolling along

Slurping my smoothie in this Sunday song

Here I am crunching along

On these nachos while I sing this song

Here I am munching along

On some carrots while I end my song

Do not jump on any bed

Or you might bust your head

Do not write on a table

Better listen it’s not a fable

Do not bust a lamp

Or a reputation will be damp

Do not burn a Christmas tree

Or you won’t feel glee

Christmas is coming I’m filed with glee

I hope Santa has presents for me

I want everyone to know

That I like a holiday filled with snow

I like Christmas every year

But it only comes one day here

There’s no treasure like a book

There’s no money like the pages

There’s no shine like the cover

There’s no adventure like the story

There’s no name like the title

There’s nothing like a good book

And so like in the beginning

This is my attemped at a thanksgiving poem.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is where were thankful

For everything you give

The food the family the friends

We are so grateful

That is why we say this prayer

To make sure were thankful

That’s our only way

And now we must go

And celebrate this feat

Thanksgiving is a holiday

That you just cant beat

Now we will go now

While we chant in glee

Were here in America

The land of the free

Amen

Turkey turkey

You better flee

Or when you’re on my dinner table

You won’t feel glee

I have a gun in my hand

So you better run away

Before you’re on my dinner table

On Thanksgiving Day

Grandparents grandparents

I am filled with glee

That you’re in this classroom here with me

I know this poem isn’t really long

But I would rather write than sing a song

Stars are shining really bright

While I wait for the morning light

Christmas is so good this year

Winter is here summers done

Go open your presents and have some fun

We started a poetry unit. Which I think is a careful way of choosing words but I’ve not been a big fan. I have listened to it sometimes

Pause#1: let them put your name on the board. Your poetry is good.

Pause#2: you’re getting good at poetry. So please let them put your name there.

Pause#3: you let them put your name up. You’re getting your confidence back.

Pause#4: what’s up with the car? I couldn’t tell what you meant.

Pause#5: you have a dog. You even made a poem about him.

Pause#6: man you must love sky. I think that was good poetry.

End:  you like Walter which is good because you like poetry. But that was a sad poem.

Cooper was a friendly dog

SCARY STORY READER BEWARE YOURE IN FOR A SCARE

SCARY STORY

            What if you had to stop a world crisis? That is what I had to go through tonight. Which just happens to be October 31 and for those of you who prefer Halloween than that it’s the same thing. Back to the point, at first it was a regular Halloween I was in my lab 64 ft underground working on my time machine that I invented until a little boy ate a piece of candy from a witch. Next thing I know I hear knocking at my door, now who would possible be knocking at my door 64 ft underground at this hour… whoa whoa whoa what is that a zombie, humph zombies I hate zombies, well at this point there are 2 options but either way I have to destroy these zombies.

            Option1:  ok I have to blow these maggots up, where’s the dynamite? I can’t find any explosives. Oh man I am in the middle of a world crisis consisting of zombies and I can’t find any explosives. Man where is that locker? Aha found the nuclear weapon locker. By the way happy Halloween you guys, hope you like shrapnel….. BOOM!

            Option 2: ok I have to do this the alternate boring ending. Well ok, I went to my time machine and jumped in. then I went to that boy and took him to the witch’s house and I punched him so hard all of his yellow teeth fell out. Then I beat him up with his broom then I went back to present time. No more zombies. Then I was satisfied so. THE END

BLACK MAMBA

Ouch man that hurts, why hello there little snake. Oh you’re a black mamba, which means you’re a reptile. You are brown with scaly skin. You also bite people to protect your young. It takes you 2-3 months to reproduce. So let’s hear about you, tell us about yourself.

        The Black mamba is a snake that mostly travels in a pack and it has scaly brown skin. Most people believe this snake is black and white but it’s brown. An adult grows to be 14 feet long and weighs 3.5 pounds! The snake hibernates instead of migrating. The snake breathes through its tongue. Do you think that the black mamba is brown or black and white?

        The black mamba snake is not an endangered snake. It is a meat eater. It eats small animals, mostly animals like rabbits, squirrels, mice and other small mammals. The black mamba is cold blooded the black mamba is very deadly; in fact it is the deadliest snake on the planet. So watch out for this deadly snake.

        The Black Mamba is born in an egg. It has 20-30 babies and they live in south east Africa. They protect themselves by biting someone or coiling or rattling they’re tail. It takes almost 3 months to reproduce. They don’t like killing people they do that to protect the young.

        That was very interesting little snake. i didn’t notice any of that. I hope you can tell us about how you got separated from your family though. By the way how can you understand me?
